Surya Graha Shanti Puja & Jaap

Surya Graha Shanti Puja is a sacred Vedic ritual dedicated to Lord Surya (the Sun God). In Vedic astrology, the Sun is the king of all planets (Graharaja), representing the soul, ego, authority, leadership, and physical vitality. This puja is specifically performed to neutralize the malefic effects of a weak or afflicted Sun in one's birth chart, cure astrological afflictions like Surya Dosha, and invite confidence, power, and radiant health into the devotee's life.

₹16,999.00

As beautifully illustrated in the image, Lord Surya is depicted riding a majestic celestial chariot driven by seven white horses, which symbolize the seven rays of light (or the seven days of the week). He holds two lotus flowers, embodying purity, life-giving energy, and spiritual awakening.
In a horoscope, the Sun signifies authority figures, the father, government status, and self-worth. When the Sun is debilitated (in Libra), eclipsed by Rahu/Ketu (Grahan Dosha), or afflicted by malefic aspects, an individual may face chronic low confidence, frequent career demotions, legal conflicts with the government, eye/heart-related health problems, or strained relationships with their father. The Surya Graha Shanti Puja acts as a spiritual remedy, utilizing precise solar energy alignments, Vedic mantras, and holy fire elements to dissolve deep-seated karmic blocks and restore the divine qualities of leadership, honor, and physical vitality.

Boosts Career & Authority: Accelerates promotions, helps secure administrative or government jobs, and gains the favor of bosses and high-ranking officials.
Enhances Confidence & Willpower: Dispels self-doubt, social anxiety, and feelings of insignificance, replacing them with leadership charm and magnetism.
Improves Physical Health: Combats chronic lethargy, bone weakness, vision problems, and heart-related health issues caused by an afflicted Sun.
Harmonizes Family Relationships: Resolves long-standing ego conflicts, communication gaps, and misunderstandings with one’s father or parental figures.
Brings Name, Fame & Respect: Enhances social status, ensuring an individual's hard work is recognized and well-respected by society.
Clears Legal & Government Blocks: Helps clear hurdles related to taxes, court disputes, and pending government approvals.

Sankalpa (The Sacred Resolve)
The ritual begins with a formal pledge at dawn. The priest states the devotee's name, lineage context (Gotra), and astrological details (Rashi and Nakshatra), setting the intent to rectify any Surya Dosha or planetary weaknesses.
2. Preliminary Invocations
Lord Ganesha Puja: Executed at the beginning to remove obstacles and clear the spiritual space.
Arghya Offerings: Offering holy water mixed with vermilion (kumkum), red flowers, and rice grains directly to the physical rising Sun while chanting solar names.
3. Surya Yantra Sthapana & Abhishek
A clean wooden altar is laid out using a bright red cloth (the sacred color of the Sun).
An idol of Lord Surya or an engraved copper Surya Yantra is established.
Abhishek: The deity/Yantra is bathed with Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar) and gangajal while chanting purificatory mantras. Offerings of red sandalwood paste, red flowers (like hibiscus), and saffron are made.
4. Core Surya Mantra Japa
Vedic priests lead the intense recitation of the Puranic or Beej mantras of the Sun. A complete purification traditionally involves chanting the mantra a specific scriptural count (typically 7,000 repetitions):
Surya Beej Mantra:
Om Hram Hreem Hroum Sah Suryaya Namah
Surya Gayatri Mantra:
Om Bhaskaraya Vidmahe Mahadyutikaraya Dheemahi | Tanno Surya Prachodayat ||
5. Surya Havan (Sacred Fire Ritual)
A holy sacrificial fire is kindled using wood from the Arka (Madar) plant, which holds a powerful botanical and spiritual affinity with the Sun.
Offerings of pure cow's ghee, red sweets, and wheat grains (the grain associated with Surya) are made into the sacred flames with every chant to project the solar alignment out into the cosmos.
6. Aarti & Daana (Charitable Subsidies)
The ritual concludes with a grand camphor Aarti dedicated to Lord Surya Narayan.
Karmic Alignment through Charity: To seal the positive vibrations of the Sun, the devotee is advised to donate red-colored items such as ruby-colored clothes, copper utensils, wheat, jaggery, or gold to a temple priest or the needy immediately following the puja.
