Chandi Puja
Chandi Puja is a powerful Vedic ritual dedicated to Goddess Chandi, the fierce and compassionate manifestation of Goddess Durga. This sacred worship is performed to seek divine protection, remove obstacles, destroy negative energies, overcome enemies, and receive blessings of courage, prosperity, good health, and spiritual strength.
Chandi Puja is one of the most revered forms of Devi worship in Sanatan Dharma. Goddess Chandi, also known as Chandika, is the embodiment of Adi Shakti who destroyed powerful demons such as Mahishasura, Shumbha, and Nishumbha, symbolizing the triumph of righteousness over evil. The puja invokes her divine energy to protect devotees from adversity and guide them toward success, peace, and spiritual growth.
During the Chandi Puja, experienced Vedic priests perform Ganesh Puja, Sankalp, Kalash Sthapana, and invoke Goddess Chandi with Vedic mantras. The ritual includes the chanting of Chandi Mantras and selected verses from the Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmyam), followed by offerings of flowers, kumkum, coconut, fruits, and Naivedya. Depending on the tradition, a Chandi Havan (Yagna) may also be performed. The ceremony concludes with Chandi Aarti, Shanti Path, and Prasad distribution.
This puja is especially beneficial for devotees seeking protection from negative influences, relief from fear and obstacles, success in important endeavors, family harmony, financial stability, and spiritual upliftment.
