Vastu Shanti & Havan Puja
The Vastu Shanti Puja & Havan is a sacred Vedic ritual performed to appease Vastu Purusha (the deity of architecture and dwelling) and the deities of the directions. It is designed to eliminate architectural faults (Vastu Dosha), clear negative energy blockages from a property, and invite peace, prosperity, and harmony into a home or workspace.
According to Vedic philosophy, every built structure possesses a living energy field governed by the Vastu Purusha, who is traditionally depicted lying face down within the property's geometric grid (as illustrated in the image). When a building is constructed without aligning properly with the natural elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space), it creates a Vastu Dosha (architectural imbalance).
These imbalances can cause persistent hurdles such as financial instability, frequent health issues among family members, or chaotic domestic environments. The Vastu Shanti Puja is a corrective and preventive spiritual remedy. It seeks forgiveness for any harm done to the earth during construction, pacifies residual negative energies from the land's history, and harmonizes the building's vibrations with natural cosmic forces. It is highly recommended before moving into a new home (Griha Pravesh), renovating an old property, or opening a new business location.

Sankalp (Sacred Intent): The house owner declares their name, birth details, and intent to seek the blessings of Vastu Purusha for the property.
Ganesh Pujan & Kalash Sthapana: Prayers are offered to Lord Ganesha to remove any obstacles from the ritual, followed by invoking the water deity and cosmic energies into a sacred copper pot (Kalash).
Vastu Purusha Mandala Invocation: A geometric grid (Mandala) is drawn on the ground, representing the Vastu Purusha. Deities ruling the different directions are systematically invoked and worshipped.
Navagraha Shanti Puja: A ritual to appease the nine planets to ensure their celestial alignments bring positive planetary influences to the household.
Vastu Shanti Havan (Fire Ceremony): Sacred herbs, wood, and ghee are offered to the holy fire while chanting specific Vastu mantras. The smoke generated during the Havan physically and energetically purifies the entire property.
Purna Ahuti & Aarti: The final, main offering is made to the holy fire to conclude the Yajna successfully.
Vastu Purusha Idol/Yantra Burial: A small consecrated Vastu Purusha idol or Yantra is traditionally buried in a specific corner (usually the Northeast corner) or near the main entrance of the property to permanently anchor protective and auspicious energies.
