Saraswati Puja is a highly revered Vedic ritual dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, education, speech, music, and fine arts. Worshipping Maa Saraswati helps remove ignorance and mental obstacles while enhancing intelligence, memory, concentration, creativity, and communication skills.
The puja is traditionally performed on Vasant Panchami (Basant Panchami), during Navratri, before examinations, educational milestones, or the beginning of new learning journeys. Students, teachers, scholars, musicians, artists, writers, and professionals perform this puja to seek divine guidance and excellence in their respective fields.
During the ritual, experienced Vedic priests perform Sankalp in the devotee's name, chant sacred Saraswati mantras, offer flowers, fruits, and prayers, and perform Havan (if included).
