The Manokamna Prapti Puja (Wish-Fulfillment Ritual) is a highly sacred and powerful ritual dedicated to Lord Hanuman, who is revered as Sankatmochan (the remover of obstacles). This puja is specifically performed to invoke his divine grace, clear challenging hurdles from one’s life, and seek the fulfillment of deep personal wishes and desires.
In Hindu tradition, Lord Hanuman is considered a Chiranjeevi (immortal) deity who resides actively on Earth during this age (Kalyug), making him incredibly responsive to the sincere prayers of his devotees.
The word Manokamna means "heart's desire" and Prapti means "attainment." When a devotee faces repeated setbacks in their career, health, relationships, or personal growth, this special puja acts as a spiritual intervention. During the ceremony, Lord Hanuman is worshipped along with a formal Sankalp (a solemn vow identifying the devotee’s name, lineage/gotra, and specific wish). Devotees invoke his fierce energy, legendary courage, and unwavering devotion to clear negative planetary influences (like Shani Dosh or Mangal Dosh) and open paths to smooth progress.

Step 3: Holy Offerings:
