Yellow Sthapana (Yellow Setup): Maa Baglamukhi is highly associated with the color yellow (Pitambara). The altar is covered with a yellow cloth, and the priests wear yellow robes. The idol or Baglamukhi Yantra is installed and decorated with yellow flowers (like marigolds), turmeric (Haldi), and yellow sweets.
Vishesh Sankalp (Special Vow): Because Baglamukhi rituals are highly specific, a strict Sankalp is taken by the pandits using your name, birth details, and the precise intent (e.g., winning a court case, protection from an adversary, or clearing financial hurdles).
Haldi Archana: A unique ritual where the deity or Yantra is continuously offered unbroken rice grains mixed with turmeric (Akshat) or actual turmeric roots while reciting her secret names.
Mantra Jaap & Kavach/Stotra Path: The core of the ritual involves intense chanting. The priests recite the Baglamukhi Kavach (a protective energetic shield) and the Baglamukhi Stotra. They perform thousands of repetitions of her Moola Mantra using a Haldi Mala (rosary made of turmeric beads).
Pitambara Havan (Fire Ritual): A sacred fire is lit using specific wood. Special offerings like yellow mustard seeds (Pila Sarso), turmeric pieces, ghee, and honey are offered into the fire. The smoke and energy of a Baglamukhi Havan are traditionally believed to paralyze or suppress the negative energies surrounding the devotee.
Purnaahuti & Aarti: The puja concludes with the final offerings (Purnaahuti) to the fire, followed by Maa Baglamukhi’s Aarti.
